WELCOME TO THE TRI COUNTY FASTPITCH LEAGUE

The Tri County Fastpitch League was established in 1972 to promote fastpitch softball for girls in the St. Paul/Minneapolis metropolitan area and now part of Western Wisconsin.  The league acts as a clearinghouse for interested communities, and limits it's self to the scheduling of league games between member associations, determines State tournament advancing and corresponding player eligibility standards.

This is how the new registration process will work:

1.  Once you have entered your Team information and hit submit

  • Your team page (web site) will automatically be generated and placed in to the league you registered for.
  • You will also be automatically be granted editing access to your team page (web site)
  • If you did NOT enter any OR just a few players to your roster your roster will be submitted to the State Office and placed on a dashboard under waiting on rosters to be reviewed.

2. Once you have entered your Players information and hit submit

  • Your team roster will be submitted to the State office to have your roster verified with the information provided.
  • Once verified you can print your roster and you can play league play and in any tournaments you choose that are ASA, USSSA or NAFA sanctioned.  Make sure to have the parents sign the roster.
  • IF and when a players birth certificate has been submitted the State Office will also review and verify player.  Once a check mark has been placed by a player the State Office will no longer need to review a new birth certificate.

3.  IF at any time during the season you need to edit your roster you can.

  • If you have to add OR remove a player you go through the same process when you initially created the roster.  Once you hit submit it again goes straight to the State Office and the players being added or removed will be placed on a "player dashboard" where the State Office can approve the changes.  Once approved you again can print off the verified roster for tournament play.
  • ANY player being added or removed will now be automatically save to their roster history.

2016 Team Registrations will be found here after March.

Coaches,

We are building the team registration forms now and will be available to enter after the Directors meeting on March 7th.  All team registrations must be entered by the April 4th Directors meeting along with final payment.

New this year using the Score Monsters web site and software is more of a seamless team and player registration process.  Registering your team and players is now ONE step.  Please be prepared when registering your team.

MINIMALLY to register your team you will need the following information.

  1. Team Name:
  2. Association you play for:
  3. Coaches Name:
  4. Coaches Address (City, State, Zip):
  5. Coaches Email:
  6. Coaches Contact Number:
  7. Age and Level of play.  I.e. 10U A/BI/BII/C
  8. Play dates you know you CAN'T play:

IF you know your players information at this time this would be ideal but not required.  You will be able to come back at any time and complete this process.  This is how you will obtain your roster, enter player stats etc.

Gather the following information:  Please note, again the reason we are now using the Score Monster software is because a player will only have to be entered ONE time in their career playing youth fastpitch.  We have pre loaded close to 20,000 players.

Please start by typing in the last name of the player on your roster to see if they are in the Database.
If they are not in the database please enter players information. (all the information will be on the form)

  1. Players first name
  2. Players last name
  3. Players address  (City, State, Zip)
  4. Player/Guardian contact number
  5. Player/Guardian e-mail address
  6. Players date of birth  **birth certificates will be asked for at this time.  A player will not be "verified" until this is reviewed by the State Director.  Once a player has been "verified" a birth certificate will not be requested within this database.**

Optional data but not required for the rosters

  1. Players jersey number
  2. Players graduation year
  3. Players position(s)
  4. Players profile photo

I'M A NEW COACH WHAT IS MY NEXT STEP? HERE IS A BRIEF LIST OF ACTION ITEMS YOU NEED TO DO FOR TRI COUNTY. YOUR ASSOCIATION MAY HAVE SPECIFIC THINGS TO DO AS WELL.

Tri County Checklist

  • Go to the TC Home page to create your official roster. This is mandatory for the league and for any tournament you are participating in. Including weekend invitational tournaments, Tri County, Qualifier’s, MMFL State, ASA, USSSA & NAFA Nationals
  • Refer back to coaches corner page often! Most questions are answered there.
  • Create and NGIN account- Directions on the > TEAM tab homepage > Getting Started 2015 > once completed add your username to your team registration form. **FYI, Your NGIN account stays with you forever AND with ALL NGIN sports**
  • E-mail Tom Bye to tbye@tricountyleaguemn.com to obtain editing access to my team page IF coaches were selected after registration.
  • Edit Team Page and personalize for your team, add team logo, pictures etc.
  • Enter "my contact" information. Priority!
  • Enter my team manager and/or assistant coaches information if you have one.
  • Grant editing access to your team page to your assistant coach or manager if you prefer.
  • Enter player roster on your Tri County team page- This is used for tracking on-line stats only.  This is meant to be fun for the players!
  • Add my HOME field location and URL on my game schedule. *This only takes 5 minutes at the beginning of the season. i.e. RCF #1. It will save you a lot of calls and e-mails.
  • If I am the HOME team I need to enter both games box scores within 24 hours. After that EITHER team can enter scores.
  • Tri County plays by the NAFA & ASA Rules. However, there some weekend invitational tournaments will be USSSA rules. ALL rule books were given to all coaches.
  • Tri County specific rules are found on the Tri County web site and in the Scorebook provided to me at the start of the season.
  • Are there major differences in the rules between NAFA & ASA & USSSA ? Only slight variations. We multi sanction to provide more opportunities for the players.
  • In the event of a rain out or any cancellation, notify MY associations umpire coordinator (or designated contact person) ASAP inorder to cancel the umpire. If you don't know this contact your traveling director. Most assignors are listed in the score book too.
  • NEW starting in 2011, all coaches and officials must be trained in concussion awareness. On the Tri County home page there is link. This is mandatory.
  • All coaches should have standard practices for playing in any tournaments: Bring "Generic" Official roster which includes ASA, NAFA and USSSA with parent signatures. Proof of ACE certification, Concussion certificate. Birth Certificates (shouldn't need if you submitted online and roster was verified)
  • What to bring to the Tri County Qualifier: A signed copy of your roster and your players birth certificates. Gate fee and balls are part of the league fee.
  • What to bring if your team advances to the MMFL State Tournament: A $100.00 gate fee made payable to the host association, a signed copy of your roster and your players birth certificates
